CSA (Community Supported Agriculture)

A CSA is an agreement where people purchase a “share” in the
farm for the season and receive a box of veggies each week for a certain number of weeks during the growing season

Benefits of a CSA for the Customer

  • knowing the farmer that grew the food that you are feeding your family
  • Ultra fresh veggies- picked within hours of pickup
  • Trying new produce or recipes that you wouldn't have even thought of before
  • normally CSA shareholders receive more produce than your share is worth ( when the harvest
is plentiful we share the bounty with you )

Farmer Benefits

  • Money to begin the growing season with early ( CSA payments are normally due in late
    winter)
  • More time spent growing and planning and less time spent traveling to markets to sell
  • Easier for planning since some of the harvest is pre-sold before being planted
